to the hundreds of students locked down at cal state fullerton right now. i'm carolyn johnson. >> i'm dan ashley. it is a tense scene that has been playing out for hours down south. police have the building surrounded as officers search for a man they suspect is armed and dangerous. this is all happening on the cal state university at fullerton campus southeast of downtown los angeles. >> i believe the armed suspect is in the building. >> reporter: police and the s.w.a.t team went from building to building searching for one and possibly two suspects. the school tweeted an alert to students and employers to remain on lock down. people outside were told to evacuate immediately. students barricaded the doors to their classrooms and turned down the rights and stayed quiet. some of them tweeted pictures showing chairs and other objects blocking the doors. all classes were canceled and nearby streets shutdown. the suspects were believed to have run on to the campus after a high speed chase. they were among five people suspected it of robbing a jewelry store and shooting the clerk in morino valley. one

see it is still underwater and cal trans is waiting it out. they say it may reopen after christmas day. live in sonoma county, cornell bernard, abc7 news. >> thank you, cornell. and the santa cruz county of fell ton was hit hard. today's storm forced road closures and evacuations. thomas roman has more. >> this truck was almost fully submerged on sunday afternoon. this is the community of fell ton grove. its 40 plus families were told to evacuate at about 1:30. dan and liz say they got a warning that the nearby san lorenzo river was rising fast. >> at first it was an advisory only, and then it was mandatory when it was clear the river would come up. >> the river reached some four feet over flood stage. they were evacuated before. they have lived here 27 years. >> we need to secure our animals. we need to move our vehicles. we need to not be in the houses while the severe flooding is happening. >> while the streets were under anywhere from six inches to four feet of water, these still photos show the area at the height of the flooding. the stranded police car had to be towed out. they s

with cal trans and they told us how they have 300 cameras across the bay area counties that are focused on the roadways and the bridges. a lot of the sensors in the roadways help let them know when there is a traffic situation like the truck behind me. this is what we know. gusty winds knocked over the big rig on the richmond san rafael bridge blocking both eastbound lanes. according to the chp, the truck was heading east along the midspan before 5:00 a.m. when heavy winds caused a vehicle to roll over. when the truck slammed against the rail, the driver was slammed on his side and had to crawl out of the truck's cabin. cars are now passing the scene of the crash on the roadways -- roadway's right shoulder. back live, you can see the guys have started to disassemble the drive shaft of the truck because they have to take that off before they can put the truck back over, and they were waiting for the wind to die down. no one was injured in the collision. not the driver of the truck or any other vehicle. again, we are live in the san rafael -- the richmond san rafael bridge. we are now goi
